FAQ

I am back working as a nurse at the hospital full time and will be for the foreseeable future. Juggling being mommy, full time nurse, and photographer was spreading me too thin, and I had to make some life changes to stay sane. As a result, I will not be available to schedule many 1 hour sessions. I am hoping to offer mini sessions in the spring and fall, so please email me if you would like to be notified once I select the dates! info@cnoellephotography.com

 

When should I book my maternity session?

Usually by the time you’ve reached the 3rd trimester, your baby bump is ready to be photographed! If this is not your first baby, it is possible you will “pop” earlier, which means we could schedule earlier if needed! Keep in mind that editing turnaround time is 1 month for maternity photos, so make sure to book far enough in advance in case you need your photos for a special event (like a baby shower!).

How does scheduling a newborn shoot work?

Contact me in advance so I can block out a few dates around your due date, and then I ask my mamas to shoot me an email or a text while they’re in the hospital so we can finalize a date and time. The best time to photograph your brandy new bundle is within the first 10 days.
How long will it take to get my photos?

You will receive your photos within 2 months of your session date. Newborn and maternity sessions have priority since they are time sensitive, and photo files will be delivered with in 1 month of your session date. If you need your photos before these deadlines, I can bump your session up to the top of the list and deliver them to you within 2 weeks for a rush fee of $100 per session.

How will I receive my photos?

You will receive an email from me (yay!) when your session has been fully edited with a link to my proofing site (http://cnoellephotography.shootproof.com). You will also be emailed instructions on how to download your files to your home computer’s hard drive, as well as a print release. It is your responsibility to back these files up on a external hard drive, portable flash, or burn them to a CD.

Do you offer prints?

At this time, I do not offer any tangible items (i.e. CDs of your files, prints, or canvases) for taxing reasons.

Where do you suggest I get my photos printed?

For high quality prints: http://www.mpix.com  http://www.adorama.com. Locally, avoid places like CVS and walmart. Costco’s quality is satisfactory.

Do you charge travel fees?

Photo shoots within 50 miles round trip of Oakland, NJ do not have travel fees. For sessions outside of this radius, there is an additional $1/mile travel fee.

Do you charge fees for large groups?

Starting in 2015, a photoshopping fee of $100 will be required for groups with more than 4 children/pets. At times, I spend multiple hours “swapping heads” to make sure your entire family is looking at the camera and smiling in your photos. After your session is edited, if the additional photoshopping time is not needed, I will refund this fee.

Do you do weddings and events?

At this time I am not offering wedding or event coverage. With my daughter, home responsibilities, and hospital shifts, it is hard to be away for a full day. I do offer engagement, bridal, and bride/groom portrait sessions if that is something you are looking for!

Do you ever offer coupons or discounts?

Starting in 2015, I will be offering $25 credits for referrals (once they’ve booked). Be sure to tell your friends to mention your name!
